Calder Slip Coupling
Engineered for Underground Durability
Calder Slip Couplings deliver professional-grade pipe connections specifically designed for sewer and drainage infrastructure. Starting at 4 inches (100 mm) in diameter and available in custom sizes, these widely accepted couplings connect pipes of different materials from 1.5" to 96" diameter while accommodating ground movement, pipe settlement, and alignment deviations without compromising connection integrity—critical advantages in installations where soil shift, vibration, or differential loading occurs.
Each coupling features a one-piece molded elastomeric gasket secured by two stainless steel clamping bands (300 or 316 Series) that create tight, reliable seals between pipe ends. Unlike competitors' thermoplastic products, these couplings utilize specially formulated synthetic rubber compounds that maintain flexibility without sacrificing chemical resistance, resulting in connections that are leak-proof, root-proof, and resistant to ultraviolet rays, fungus growth, chemicals, and normal sewer gases in demanding underground environments.
Features
- Calder Slip Coupling is offered in nominal diameters starting at 4 inches (100 mm) and can be manufactured in larger sizes to meet specific project requirements.
- Flexible - Sewer Couplings connect pipe of different sizes and materials from 1.5" to 96" diameter. Accommodates ground movement and pipe settlement.
- Coupling accommodates ground movement, pipe settlement, and minor alignment deviations without compromising the connection. This flexibility is especially important in installations where soil shift, vibration, or differential loading is expected.
- Withstands Compression and Tension - Unlike other manufactures’ thermoplastic couplings, we combine synthetic rubbers which allow for increased flexibility and distortion without altering essential physical or chemical resistance.
- Resists Corrosion- Rust-proof stainless steel clamping bands.
- Durable and Impervious – Leak proof, root-proof, and resistant to ultra violet rays, fungus growth, chemicals, and normal sewer gases.
- Each Calder Slip Coupling is secured with two stainless steel clamping bands (300 or 316 Series that apply uniform compression to the molded elastomeric gasket, creating a tight and reliable seal between pipe ends.
Performance Where It Matters, Infrastructure-Grade Benefits:
Superior Ground Movement Accommodation: Maintains connection integrity during soil shifts, vibration, and differential loading.
Exceptional Material Performance: Combines synthetic rubbers for increased flexibility without compromising chemical resistance.
Complete Infiltration Protection: Creates leak-proof, root-proof barriers in critical infrastructure applications.
Installation Efficiency: Simple, standardized process improves consistency across crews and supports reliable inspection outcomes.
Corrosion Resistance: Rust-proof stainless steel components ensure longevity in aggressive soil and groundwater conditions.
Year-Round Workability: Remains pliable and installable across seasonal temperature variations.
Reliable Conformance: Adapts to pipe irregularities and dimensional differences for watertight connections.
Structural Longevity: Resists UV rays, fungus growth, chemicals, and normal sewer gases for extended service life.
Contractor and Municipality Acceptance: Widely recognized and approved for infrastructure projects.
